The dosing device is a box which can be connected to the Water Distribution System. Installed just after the general

flow meter it enables the treatment of cold and warm water in one operation. The box contains an internal water flow

meter which is connected to a volume dependant pump.

This pump only injects the Hydrogen Peroxide and Silver Salt formulation when water enters into the system. 

The pump is designed in such a way that the dosage (ppm) of the formulation going into the system can be adjusted.

The box also contains a valve which avoids any backward flow.  

Verification at all the taps of the installation allows checking that the formulation is well present in the whole system.

After a 24 hour period, the dosing device is disconnected and the system is abundantly rinsed with fresh water. Here also, verification at each tap allows checking that the formulation is not contaminating the distributed water. The box does exist in different sizes in order to treat domestic as well as industrial and public installations. This process does not only result in the killing of Legionella pneumophila and other bacteria but also in the elimination of the biofilm. The figure below shows how the dosing device operates.

In The Netherlands, our 50 % hydrogen peroxide formulation containing a Silver Salt benefits from a unique opportunity as it is KIWA-ATA 2007 / 3 which guarantees that it is accepted to be used in the drinking water distribution systems and is CTB 11525 N meaning that the product is accepted as a biocide in the drinking water distribution systems.

The formulation delivered through the use of the dosing device is now commonly accepted.
