The Hydrogen Peroxide has a European Norm EN 902 which indicates its purity level that the commercial compositions should present as well as the content of the tolerated impurities. Formulators should develop compositions which comply with this Norm. On the other hand, Biocidal Products should contain Active Ingredients which are positively listed in the 98/8/EEC Directive and all its amendments. Here also, the formulators should follow the given rules in order to propose authorized products related to their authorized fields of application.     

More recently, the REACh (Registration, Evaluation, Approval of Chemicals) program has been initiated. This lists down all the approved Chemicals to be used regardless their specific type of application. Again, the formulators should take care that forbidden chemicals are not integrated in their formulations. Finally, REACh, Article 31, and the 2001/58/155/EEC Directive have to be followed to establish the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) pertaining to the final proposed formulations.
